Fully Funded Masters Opportunities UK 2019

The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine in United Kingdom is offering fully funded scholarships for international students for the academic year 2019. The scholarships will cover; full tuition fees, monthly living allowance, flight tickets and field work costs.

 

SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION:

London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine is offering fully funded Master’s degree scholarships for international students. The scholarships are funded by benevolent organisations, foundations and individuals.

Fully Funded Jeroen Ensink Memorial Scholarship 2019/20

Jeroen Ensink was a Senior Lecturer in the subject of Public Health Engineering at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine between 2009 and 2015. He was also the course director for the Masters of Science in Public Health for Development.

Jeroen is passionate about improving access to water and sanitation in low- and middle-income countries. Please note that only 1 scholarship will be granted for MSc Public Health for Development programme academic year 2019/20.

SCHOLARSHIP PACKAGE:

The scholarship is fully funded and will cover the following;

  • Full overseas tuition fees
  • Field trip fees
  • Travel costs
  • A non-taxable living allowance (GBP 16,950.00)

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

Applicants for this scholarship must;

  • have admission for the MSc Public Health for Development program
  • Show commitment to WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene)
  • Be a citizen of one of the following countries

SUB-SAHARA AFRICA

SOUTH ASIAN:

Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka

NB:

Candidates with experience or interest in water, sanitation, hygiene and public health will be given preference.

HOW TO APPLY:

STEP 1:

STEP 2:

Submit an Online Scholarship Application indicating that you are applying for the 2019/20 Jeroen Ensink Memorial Fund Scholarship.

NB:

You will have to upload your curriculum vitae (CV) and a motivation statement of no more than 1,000 words.

Fully Funded Lt-Col Henry Kirkpatrick Scholarship for 2019/20

Elsie and Daphne Kirkpatrick have set up a scholarship for ‘the promotion and encouragement of study in the ophthalmic section’ in memory of their father Lt-Col Henry Kirkpatrick.

 

Lieutenant-Colonel Henry Kirkpatrick (1871–1958) worked in the Indian Medical Service and also taught pathology and ophthalmology at Madras university. After his retirement from Madras university, he became an ophthalmic surgeon to the Tropical Diseases Hospital and lecturer in ophthalmology at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in United Kingdom.

SCHOLARSHIP PACKAGE:

The scholarship will cover;

  • Full tuition fees for a Masters of Science in Public Health for Eye Care
  • A monthly living stipend (GBP 16,950)
  • Masters of Science project costs (GBP 1,500)
  • Alumni workshop maintenance costs (GBP 1,100)

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

Applicants for this scholarship must;

  • Be an overseas student
  • Hold an offer of admission for a Masters of Science Public Health for Eye Care program

Fully Funded Johnson & Johnson Global Mental Health Scholarships 2019/20

The MSc Global Mental Health program is a jointly provided by the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) and the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience, King’s College London(KCL).

The Janssen Global Mental Health Scholarship Fund was introduced in 2012 by Janssen Pharmaceutica. In 2018 the Fund launched 18 scholarships over the five years. The fund has funded over 21 students for the MSc Global Mental Health.

SCHOLARSHIP PACKAGE:

  • Full overseas tuition fees at the Kings College London
  • A living allowance (GBP 16,950)
  • MSc project expenses (GBP 500.00)

ELIGIBLE NATIONALITIES:

Applicants must be citizens and ordinarily resident in the following countries;

AFRICA:

Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda and South Africa

SOUTH EAST ASIA:

Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam

Fully Funded GSK Scholarships for Future Health Leaders 2019/20

GSK is offering 3 fully funded masters scholarships for international students’ academic year 2019/20. These scholarships are provided to train and develop the next generation of global health leaders as well as to strengthen the capacity of health systems and health research in Africa.

The scholarship is highly competitive and are grated for only 1-year full time master’s degree program at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.

  • Veterinary Epidemiology MSc
